Jason Burt and Veronique Roy have had many adventures together over the years. They have travelled all over the world, from Bolivia and Peru to Nepal and New Zealand, but they had no idea their biggest adventure would begin on November 2, 1999 — the day they bought Snow Valley Lodging.
Since, the pair have continued to step into the unknown and flex their adventurous personalities. They’ve opened an adventure basecamp in the form of Canada’s first Tiny Home hotel and they want everyone to have the opportunity to experience tiny living with big adventure.
To share their passion with the Fernie community, Jason and Veronique have created The Adventure Fund, a “micro-funding” initiative to give Tiny donations back to the community they love! The fund will support non-profits and organizations such as The Fernie Nordic Society and Fernie Mountain Bike Club which maintain the popular mountain trail networks in the area. Without these organizations maintaining these public trails, Fernie would not be the adventure capital it is today.
Snow Valley Lodging was proud to present the first gift of many from The Adventure Fund— a donation of $1000— to The Fernie Nordic Society, which will be put towards the Fernie Nordic Racers.. If you think there is a non-profit organization in Fernie that is as committed to community adventure as we are, please let us know!
We can’t wait to see what the future holds and what new adventures are in store for Snow Valley Lodging and the adventurous community of Fernie! #Whereadventureawakens.
We’re very excited for our 2020/2021 winter season and to see what adventures we can accomplish this winter!”
